SBS will not make the 2PM members to take the stage on Super Model Contest 2009

Update: Contrary to earlier reports, Nichkhun will not be performing and the duet ain't happening. Instead, Junho and Junsu will be taking to the stage and sing their favourite songs each. SBS has also decided to not record their performances, essentially meaning that it will not be shown during the live broadcast.

We reported earlier that 2PM is gearing up for a return on stage without Jaebeom at the 2009 Supermodel Contest on 25th September. But it will only be just two members of 2PM taking to the stage.

With the uncertainty surrounding 2PM in the aftermath of Jaebeom's departure, the event organizers have once again stated on the 23rd that 2PM will still be performing. But it will not be a 2PM stage with the present six members. Instead, it will be a performance by just two 2PM members singing a ballad, one of which is confirmed to be Nichkhun while the other is still being discussed.

Since their last performance at the Incheon Korean Wave Music Festival on 5th September, the 2PM boys have not been seen on stage together since, as they were withdrawn from all activities. This performance at the 2009 Supermodel Contest will be 2PM's first performance on stage since their last 25 days ago.

The 2009 Supermodel Contest will be broadcasted live through SBS and their website but organizers have stated that, with tensions still running high now, the possibility of 2PM's performance not being shown in the live broadcast is high. 2PM's performance had been scheduled way before the Jaebeom incident erupted into a fireball.

Besides 2PM, there will also be performances by SNSD, G-Dragon, 2NE1, Baek Ji Young, Park Hyun Bin and Wink.

The 'Jun Brothers' Perfrom at Super Model Contest 2009

During the Super Model Contest 2009, unfortunately all the members of 2PM could not make it to the stage with the exception of the Jun Brothers (Junho and Junsu).

2PM's performance had been scheduled way before the Jaebeom incident, and thus it was something that JYP Entertainment could not turn down. In the past few days, it was first motioned that the 6 members of 2PM will take to the stage on 25th September, for their first performance since the Incheon Korean Wave Festival on the 5th.

SBS then announced that the performance will go on, but because of fear of reprisals from netizens, they did not record 2PM's performancenor show it through the live broadcast. It was then reported that only two members of 2PM will take to the stage, one of them being Nichkhun and the other still to be decided. That later became void, as it was revealed that it was to be just Junho and Junsu.

Things continue to be uncertain with rumors that the 6 members of 2PM had refused to take to the stage. It was only earlier today on the 25th that Junho and Junsu were confirmed to be performing, such was the uncertainty hanging over 2PM.Junho and Junsu did a duet of Only You and Love. After their performance, Junsu told the crowd that they were sorry that 2PM could not perform as a group and promised to do so next time. Even though it has been a difficult period, they still performed to keep their promise and hope that it would be looked upon in a good light.

2009 Super Model Contest Was Aired On SBS!

The Super Model Contest 2009 was just freshly aired on SBS and it was a star studded show. Many viewers were stunned and vowed with the performances of the big famous group names -- 2NE1, G-Dragon, SNSD, and Baek Ji Young.

Unfortunately, not all 2PM members performed at the stage, just the 'Jun Brothers' (Junho & Junsu). So the 2PM fans were very sad during that night. SBS decided not to record the 2Pm performances for broadcast.

2PM will still continue without Jaebeom

After much drama surrounding leader Jaebeom leaving 2PM, JYP has finally released an official statement regarding 2PM's future activities.

Unfortunately, 2PM will continue activities as 6-members, as JYP is stating that Jaebeom does not want to return as of now.

Whether Jaebeom not wanting to return is the truth or not, we have yet to hear. But as of now, 2PM will be 6 members.

Hello, this is JYP.

For the past five days we have listened to what many people had to say regarding the Jaebeom incident. We have listened to the rebukes towards Jaebeom, the rebukes toward our company, and many of you telling us to give him another chance has been carefully heard.

We have carefully and thoroughly discussed what the next moves are regarding our company, the 2PM members, and Jaebeom. Jaebeom has been receiving many encouraging comments from many fans, but his feelings about his wrong doings has still not changed. He still feels sorry and embarrassed for what he did and is not able to perform on stage. Jaebeom has pleaded to not cancel 2PM's activities which was the result of the sweat, blood and tears of the other six members, just because of what he has done. He has said this is the reason why he must leave 2PM.

I also agree with Jaebeom. The reason why i have not held on to Jaebeom is because if we look towards the life ahead of him, this will not be a big matter that will effect his whole life. Many of you are worried that he has wasted four years of training towards his dream, but i believe that training has not gone to waste, because if he grabs this chance to mature as a person, Jaebeom will be able to fly better than ever.

I believe that as harmful the words that came from Jaebeom were, telling him to immediately leave the country was no better. I am going to respect his decision / wish of wanting to spend some time alone, off the stage and if and when the time comes that he tells me he is ready to come back on stage and perform, it is my duty / role to do everything in my power to help him with this wish. When that day comes, I believe that's when your encouragements and cheering will truly help him. I am once again truly sorry and apologize for not being able to thoroughly take care of my artists. I will do my best in making sure things like this never happen again.

I once again would like to thank all of you.
